Life has a way of beating us down so significantly that we’re not sure if we can get back up again and be the person that we truly desire to be. Life’s transitions, stressors, griefs and losses can impact our self-esteem, self-worth, relationships, mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, and even our physical health. Valerie is here to help individuals discover joy, peace, purpose, meaning, and love in their everyday lives that will bring the quality of life they deserve and is waiting for them to embrace!
In addition, Valerie knows that parents and caregivers are looking for support that will provide diagnostic assessment, resources and treatment recommendations for their children who they are concerned may be showing symptoms of ADHD and/or autism spectrum disorder. Valerie is currently offering these services for ADHD for both children and adults. Valerie is a clinical psychologist (with a Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University), an Ohio licensed independent social worker with supervision endorsement (LISW-S), and a Michigan licensed master social worker (LMSW) (with a Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University). She holds certifications in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. Valerie has nearly 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and elder adults in a variety of settings including residential treatment, crisis management, home health and hospice, long-term care, nursing home administration, substance use, training/clinical supervision of mental health professionals, quality assurance, clinical management, private practice and diagnostic testing.
