Tha'sia Awad MSW, LSW

I provide compassionate, individualized care to clients navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. My clinical areas of expertise include trauma-informed care, complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship conflict, self-esteem, social-emotional learning, and life skills development. I have been in the mental health field since 2008.

In addition to my clinical work, I bring over two decades of experience serving at-risk youth and families, particularly those involved with child protective services, foster care, adoption, children of immigrants, as well as individuals impacted by health disparities and systemic barriers. I have worked extensively with individuals and children who are healing from the long-term effects of generational, transgenerational, and systemic traumas.

My approach is grounded in fairness, empathy, and a deep respect for the diverse life experiences of my clients. I believe that every individual deserves a safe and supportive environment where they can be seen, heard, and empowered to heal. I draw from inclusive, culturally responsive practices to ensure that each person I work with feels valued regardless of their background or beliefs.

I also incorporate research at the intersection of faith and mental health for clients who find meaning in faith-based frameworks, and I offer strengths-based guidance to help individuals thrive emotionally, mentally, and socially.

I am honored to serve all communities and remain committed to creating a space where healing, growth, and resilience are possible for everyone.
