Sister Isabelle Marie Weaver

My name is Sister Isabelle Marie Weaver, and I am a Religious Sister of Mercy of Alma, Michigan.  I believe every person is created in the image and likeness of God and is deserving of compassion, dignity, and hope. My vocation has shaped the way I practice counseling, inviting me to accompany others with empathy, respect, and the conviction that healing and freedom are always possible. I believe that God’s mercy meets us in our brokenness not to leave us there, but to lead us toward healing, freedom, and a deeper understanding of our identity as beloved sons and daughters of God. It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they discover greater peace, resilience, and purpose.

I provide counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults, recognizing that every stage of life brings unique challenges and opportunities for growth. I especially enjoy working with individuals who feel stuck and are desiring true freedom—whether they are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, difficulties in school, or patterns that keep them from living the life they desire. My passion is helping clients identify the obstacles that keep them from living fully and equipping them with the tools and confidence to experience greater freedom, hope, and lasting change.

My education at Oklahoma State University, together with my religious formation grounded in the Thomistic tradition, has given me a strong foundation in evidence-based counseling while honoring the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. For clients who desire it, I am honored to integrate the Catholic faith into the counseling process through a Christ-centered perspective. At the same time, I welcome individuals from all faith traditions and backgrounds, meeting each person with the same compassion, respect, and commitment to their goals.

My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and strengths based. Drawing from attachment theory and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I help clients better understand their relationships, develop practical skills, and move toward lasting change.  I seek to create a safe and supportive space where children, teens, and adults feel heard, understood, and encouraged as they work toward healing. I believe that meaningful change happens through authentic relationships, practical skills, and the hope that each person can grow beyond their current struggles.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I would be honored to accompany you on your journey toward greater healing, freedom, and flourishing for which you were created.  Let’s get started.
