I believe that life is a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance, which leads to your freedom. We travel many paths, which will guide us to a discovery of our most intimate self. However, the stops we make can impede our progress affecting our mental and physical health. The traumatic experiences we encounter on our paths may bring tragedies, sufferings, low self-esteem, hopelessness and fear, which results in poor mental and physical health. It is crucial for us to stop and assess the impact on our mental health so we can continue the journey with joy and peace.
I am Cheryl M. Jefferson, MSW, LISW, a Professional Mental Health Counselor, who specializes in teenagers, marriages and non –martial relationships, as well as Anxiety and Depression. I am asking you to allow me the opportunity to share my gift of compassion for the wounded, as well my clinical knowledge of counseling to join you on your path to healing. I am sure you will discover your purpose, your strengths and belief in yourself as a valuable person, who refuses to allow barriers to derail you from your freedom. Also, you will learn that you are Strong and Resilient! Your suitcase of life will be packed with readiness, courage, and determination as you will acquire the skills needed to prepare you for healthy future travels.
